Atlas Obscura Podcasts and Mobile App Recognized on Best of 2025 Lists

Leading travel community platform's podcasts and products honored in year-end rankings from The Atlantic, BBC, Fast Company, and Forbes, and with 8 Signal Award Wins

NEW YORK –Atlas Obscura, the leading travel community platform, celebrates its podcasts and products that were honored across several “Best of” rankings in 2025.

Atlas Obscura’s newest podcast, Charlie’s Place, a five-part documentary podcast exploring the remarkable story of an integrated nightclub in Jim Crow-era Myrtle Beach,  earned a spot on The Atlantic’s “20 Best Podcasts of 2025” list, and also featured on the BBC’s “10 of the Best Podcasts of 2025 So Far.” Additionally, Charlie’s Place and The Atlas Obscura Podcast took home 8 Signal Awards this year, including Golds for History, DEI, and Documentary in Brand Storytelling, and Best Daily Podcast for The Atlas Obscura Podcast.

The Atlas Obscura mobile app also garnered significant recognition, landing on both Fast Company’s End-of-Year Travel App Round-Up and Forbes’ list of the Best Travel Apps for 2026. Fast Company recognized the app as exactly what travelers need to find “the world’s most wondrous and peculiar places.”
